The winding road between Los Angeles and San Francisco takes in the Big Sur as well as the city of Santa Barbera, Monterey and Carmel. The views are spectacular and the the towns are iconic. A must!
Wine Country
Just north of San Francisco lie Sonoma Country and Nappa Valley. Here is your chance to see the vast array of vineyards and sample exquisite Cabernet Sauvignons along the valley which stretches for around 30 miles. As well as some stunning landscapes the region boasts a host of Michelin star restaurants so you can enjoy great food as well as great wine!
National Parks
Yosemite sits in the High Sierra Nevada mountains about 4 hours from San Francisco. Known for its variety of natural landscapes including waterfalls, meadows and granite cliffs, Yosemite is a must for those who love the outdoors.
Straddling the California/Nevada state line, Sequoia National Park boasts ski and hiking trails taking in awe-inspiring landscapes, but is probably most famous for its gigantic Sequoia trees including the largest of them all, dubbed as General Sherman. The variety of wildlife in the park makes it a must for nature lovers.
